First off, I just wanna mention that this is so cool that there's a prayer request section here! I've been on other forums *coughcouncilofelrondcough* and tried to start a similar thread, but they've always been shot down by the mods.
Okay, I know I'm pretty new, and most of you don't know who I am, but I have a major prayer request. Not for me but for my grandma:
Last tuesday she went in to have an annual blood test and they noticed that her hemoglobin was way off. So, after a few more test they found out that she had a major tumor on her colon, and the entire area was cancerous. So, they operated, and ended up removing 11 of her 44 lymph nodes, all of which were cancerous. She's recovering from the surgery pretty well, but she still has major chemotherapy to undergo. This has been a major shock to my family, since she is one of the last people we'd expect this to happen to. She's healthy, watches her weight, excercizes, and is only in her early sixties! Please pray for the chemotherapy to be effective, and as painless as possible. Also pray for my grandpa... he's taking this pretty hard. Thank you so much!!

She'll be able to come home on wednesday, and is off of blood thinners and all the other post-surgery stuff. Thanks again for your prayers!!

I'll be praying for your grandma, Marmadas! Both my parents got cancer (and had lymph nodes removed) and they're the healthiest people I know of! They're both doing better...so I know your grandma can get better. :)

Yeah, she still has 6 months of chemo ahead of her, but they're only doing it as a precaution, just to make sure. I'm going down to see her on saturday (an hour drive or so...), and will give you another update then. Thanks again so much for your prayers, and I cannot begin to say how much I love the oppertunity to post prayer requests on a forum!!

Update:
We went to see my grandma on saturday, and she's doing really really well. God has given her a spirit of peace throughout this trouble, and she has a really positive outlook on everything. One thing we found out: She actually only has to do 3 months of chemotherapy! Praise God! Thanks again for your prayers!
