Here's why i think they will stick to the original cast members...

1. Already known to the viewers.
2. Good co-operation
3. Have contacts etc.

Depends on how quickly they can shoot the films. If they don't film concurrently, the suspension of disbelief required as to the actor's age may become too great.

Unlike most of the people on this forum, I don't have any particular emotional connection to the actors who played the children, so it wouldn't bother me all that much if they were replaced. Having said that, it would be preferable if the same actors could play the characters again, if only for continuity's sake.

Of course, it would be amusing to watch all the signature banners change if they did switch actors. I wonder if Eustace and Jill will generate the same "ooo, they're so HAWT" threads as the current cast have. ;)

Yeah I agree. Growing up is inevitable, so even the greatest and best child actors get too old for their roles. Although I have to admit, it's easier to replace children when the character is an animated character, because kids often sound alike.

They should, in my opinion, keep it secret who plays Frank the cabbie. Only
when they see him on screen should viewers realize that the part has been
given to my choice--MEL GIBSON.

I don't know if Mel Gibson could pull off a character like Frank the cabbie..
We'll see, I suppose. Now I'm just throwing this out - so no one freak out ok? Ian Holm as Frank.. he's probably too old, and I know he was in LOTR, but he's such a wonderful actor! I loved him in Chariots of Fire, The Borrowers, and LOTR.

He's my idea, now it's your turn! hehe

It depends if he can pull off an English accent because I don't think an American one would work.

they should keep the same characters because it would be weird if they changed. like in harry potter, if they change the actors it would just be really strange. and it will spark up loads of rivalry between people about who they thought played the characters best. it would be sooo complicated. they should just work a bit harder and get the films done!

Well Georgie and Skandar will be in more for sure because they've got 2 more movies and will and anna only have one (except for HaHB for Susan and LB for Peter) but that's when they're grown up.

i have read the book and the last movie for Susan and Peter is PC unless they do TLB and VODT is the last movie for Lucy and Edmund again unless they do the TLB so i am thinking they are just gonna make this a trilogy by doing LWW, PC, VODT but i wish they would do all of them especially MN

Mel Gibson would be horrendous. For a character like Frank, you'd need a similar actor to Ray Winstone, who did the voice for Mr Beaver. Frank needs to be down to earth, 'working class' (to use a somewhat loaded term) and above all, capable of pulling off a proper cockney accent. I have never seen an American or Australian actor capable of doing anything close to cockney; regional accents are difficult, and tend to come off as caricature when not done by a native (unless the actor is particularly skilled). Depp made a good attempt in Pirates of the Caribbean, but then that character was a caricature; realism didn't really come into it.

I'd love to see Mike Reid play Frank, but mainly because the Eastenders connection would be rather amusing. He's clearly too old, however.

Hayden Christensen would probably stop me going to see the film if he was cast as anything. I doubt I'll ever be able to forget the atrocious performance he turned in for the Star Wars prequels, although that wasn't entirely his fault, considering the script was so badly written.

Orlando Bloom might work in an older role, and I agree could potentially make a good Prince Rilian. Most importantly, he's English. :p

Actually, Aslan said they were kings and queens until the stars rain down from the heavens. It happened in TLB.

I've seen timelines, and Peter is already 22 in TLB, and by that time William Mosely won't even be 30 yet (if they keep to schedule). So they could even do MN and HHB before TLB and it would all work out with the same actors, and those who are crazy enough not to read the books won't be confused. That's what I hope they do at least, I'de be soooooo mad if they didn't do TLB LAST!!!

I hope you don't get bored coz I always said this.

The age of the casts affected nothing....they still looks young and the make up and wardrobe teams gonna make it

I cant imagine that Peter would played by other actor besides William

I think that if they can find someone a bit less known as Orlando that would be GREAT! Perhaps someone like Charlie Hunnam, Hugh O'Conor or Logan Marshall-Green. personally I think Logan would do a good job but the english accent might be a tough one for him. I can imagine Ian Holm as Uncle andrew...I know he is not exactly the right fit but for some reason it just makes sence. Oh and Mel Gibson as Frank...I hate to sound rude but that would be the death of a good movie. Mel is a great actor but not as Frank.
