I take pride in these two poems. Whatever feedback you can give is appreciated, but these are like, my pride and joy poems, so be as gentle as possible ;).

I've got to tell you of my most heart breaking tale
One of love, peril, devotion, and my heart's trail
One of heartache, depression, and saddening death
The warmth that was inside of me, the warmth of her breath

I knew of her a long time ago, I did
but notice her, I did not, I actually hid
My feelings for her buried deep, far down
so far that I am puzzled why they did not drown

I met her one day at the school I attend
and to you, my friend, I should recommend
that you always pursue those that you feel for
the ones that shake you down to your very core

And together we were, in class and in fun
and an intricate friendship we had spun
by the time that I truthfully realized my feelings for her
When I am around her, I most certainly purr

Although I am a fool, and I made a horrible mistake
I allowed her to realize my feelings, she put on the brake
Stopped dead in her tracks, she stared into my eyes
and said to me, "I...I didn't ever realize."

"I never knew that you felt this way about me too
and I'm glad to know, because I feel for you."
So our eyes lit up, and our hands joined together
And we walked along, like two birds of a feather

As most relationships go in that time of school
we ended it all, and all I could call myself was a fool
How could I have let myself get involved, to care
Why would I do that, how did I dare?

The truth is, I truly cared for this beautiful girl
but I couldn't admit it, else I'd unfurl
and sadly, I did, and I can't collect myself up
my emotional volcano could no longer erupt

So today I sit, all weak and in dismay
these feelings I can hardly portray
I am never to be happy, always alone
I am, and forever will be, a worthless drone.

This one has no title:

War. Patriotism.
Products of war
Fascism
Products of war
Tyranny, Liberty
American ideals
To cross us is to spell your doom
a never ceasing fire
of anger and rage
the insurmountable power
of war, patriotism, tyranny, liberty
The modern Hitler, the newfound Stalin
The Mussolini of today, your children's Caesar
Patriotism, War, Liberty, Tyranny
Patriotism is a product of war
War is a product of patriotism
American ideals
Patriotism. Liberty. Freedom.
Death.
