Yeah it is, because its the one that has all the 4 Pevensie sibling in it. Then if they make another one it would be The Voyage Dawn Treader because it has Edmund and Lucy.

they should definatly make the horse and his boy after prince caspian. it has more movie potential than voyage of the dawn treader. mainly because it is all one plot. VOTDT is broken up into a bunch of smaller adventures, that would be annoying in a movie because you would loose the build of suspense through out it.

Yah, totally excited for PC, though I think it will be hard for them to film, due to the fact of how the story is set up (starting with the pevensies, then flipping back for like four or five chapters to Caspian... they'll have to find a way to intertwine the two stories at once or something.) As to the next film after that, it's almost for sure gonna be VDT, cuz otherwise Georgie and Skandar would be waaaaay too old, not to mention Caspian. Also, doing THHB right then would probably not make it very popular, specially for those who *gasp* haven't read the books. They probably won't even do it, in my opinion, even though it's one of my faves... I love Shasta.

Anyway, about the Hobbit film.... do you have any websites that acknowledge it's actually happening?? cuz this is the first I've heard.... If it is, ROCK ON! give me links if you have them!!

I can't wait for Prince Caspian to come out! I check all the time for new news on it.

My favorite to see I think would be either the Last Battle or The Horse and his Boy. The Horse and His Boy is my favorite to read! I always get worried that they won't go all the way to the last battle because of problems with having all the children from the other books at the right ages to be together in a movie (all though they don't have to worry about susan).
When I was little I always wanted to be Edmund (I'm 18 now though so I'm a bit old lol). Now I daydream of being the Ape in the last battle or perhaps King Tirian! I'm not an actor so I suppose I'll always be limmited to daydreaming lol!

Or maybe in respect to CSL they were going by original order. That's how I read them first, and then I read them in the current order. :) Other than that, yes LWW would gain the most attention, as it is the most imaginative, and most well known of all. After the media has already caught our attention with LWW they will draw fans towards the other six. I knew about Narnia being filmed when I was in fifth grade (I'm in eigth now) from Time Kids Magazine. There was a magic of the movies section and it showed movies they were planning to- or filming currently and Narnia was one of them. But yeah, I am suppperrrrrr excited about this film, because it's my... third favorite, so definetly in the top three!

I thought the Magician's Nephew would be more helpful in terms of how Narnia came about, etc. But in some of the series I saw at the bookstore that book is actually last, number 7, rather than number 1.

I finally am halfway through Prince Caspian, and I guess it makes sense that they film this one next after LWW because the Pevensie kids are in it...the filmmakers probably wanted to keep the four actors in there ( Henley, Popplewell, Moseley and Keynes) and not have them be like, 25 years old or something LOL when they do another film. It's better that they appear to be about the same age, if not a little bit older, than in the LWW.

For me it is not a question of being happy, it is more a matter of logic. I really enjoyed the young actors who portrayed the four Pevensie children. I am thinking that since they have decided to film PC next, these four actors will be reprising their LWW roles. Since PC is the last book to have all four of the Pevensie children appear together, it is the logical one to film next. Plus the fact that in the order that I learned to read the CoN, PC is the next book.

To answer your question, you would have to understand the publishing order. When he wrote LWW, there was no concept of HHB in his head. It was originally a stand alone novel. Then, when it was popular he started the next few, and doodled ideas about the MN. Prince Caspian was originally subtitled The Return to Narnia. During the writing of the Silver Chair, he first alludes to an idea of HHB. A bard tells the tale in the castle where Eustace and Jill are. Lewis then says that if he ever gets the chance he will write it all down.

So if you could follow my rambling above, you might understand a little better why LWW ends the way it does and PC starts without any reference to HHB ideas.

When the books got picked up by a new publisher, it was actually the publishers idea to renumber the books into chronological order and make the claim it was Lewis preferred order.

In my opinion, MN should not have really been first because there were some bits in the book that talked about how oh remember when Lucy when into the wardrobe or and that's how the lampost grew or whatever and I'm sure someone who probably hasn't read LWW would be all,"Huh? What? There's another book? Oh, uh, okay." Well, I'm getting a little off topic but...

Doing the movie in the order it was written is actually a good idea, if you ask me. :) Filming the Horse and His Boy between LWW and PC would leave a big time gap for the kids and they would soon look a little old to play in PC.

I don't honestly think it'll be ready by 2008.

If they take as long for the Digital effects in this one as in LWW, they will need to start the digital effects in january, and start the filming at the same time.
That leaves them four months to audition for all the main characters, and then get them rehearsed and film ready.
I think Walden Media are pushing it a bit, and i think it could be a bit rushed, if they try to get it out then.
At the moment, I'm expecting to hear about more delays, and possibly a move to 2009.

i thought the kids mite look to old by 08 but then again i didn't pick Anna Popplewell for a seventeen year old, maybe fifteen seriously she looks like my sister did at twelve! in fact she looks identical to my sister at twelve! they all look so different in real life i heard a rumor Jeremy Sumpter (peter pan) was playing prince caspian, i reckon that they got the ages a little messed up except for georgie she's perfect for the age if each film took a year she'd be seventeen by the end which is perfect because Eustace said him and jill were the only ones still at school, Skandar was twelve when they started filming and thats fine, but by the time Prince caspians released Will will be in his twenties and Anna will be like 19 which is WAY too old, but she looks young so they could make it work, isn't it funny how it takes almost a year to film a movie that supposedly was three days and only took 2 hours and ten minutes too watch.
i would love to play Ramandu's daughter, are they doing the dawn treader after prince caspian, i don't think they should only hold castings in england, i live in Australia, it doesn't even sno where i live, it's not fair, i love narnia i think skandar is cute my age too ;) ;)
