I am so sorry to hear this :(. Suffering is a difficult thing to deal with, and I hope God uses it to strengthen your faith and all who are touched by this tragedy. It might be of some comfort to check out C.S. Lewis' A Grief Observed, which he wrote after his wife's tragic death. It presents his reflections on issues such as: life, death, and faith in the midst of loss. I will be praying for you and your family.

I saw the prayer item from "Twiszed," and I have duly prayed for that
whole family.
My first wife, Mary, was called Further Up and Further In by means of
a rare cancer called Adenoid-Cystic Carcinoma. God chose not to heal her;
but her valiant faith and endurance were of enormous spiritual benefit to
everyone who came in close contact with her during her ordeal. After she
stepped through The Door Into Summer, I emulated Mr. Lewis by writing
my own grief journal. I found I had many instances to record of God giving
me special comfort. Last year, then, He gave me a second wife, named
Janalee--who had been acquainted with Mary, and respects her memory.
Janalee, by the way, is NOT a fantasy fan--but she still enjoyed the
LWW movie so much that she was willing to go to it again!

I'll be praying for you and your family, Twiszed as you go through this. Two years ago both my parents contracted two different kinds of cancer. We had a rough time that year, and then last year my mother's cancer reocurred. While neither of them are dying as of yet, I know the fear, tears, and anger that comes with cancer. And I will be praying!

I'm praying for your dad and your family as you face these struggles. Don't give up! "For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all they ways" - Psalm 91:11.
