Beginning+ Ending of Silver Chair= best ones of all the books.

Any agreements/disagreements? I couldn't help from LOLing at Aslan's plan on the Experiment House children XD And Aslan's test towards Jill was interesting.

I love Silver Chair!
One of my favorite CON scenes is the children and PG as captives of the Lady below ground, when she tries to betwitch them and make them believe there is no above ground, no sunshine, no Aslan ... PG rebounds and says even if all that was make bellieve it was better than what the Lady offers them in the dark tunnels below the earth, so he will choose to go on pretending! It's so liberating!

***SPOILERS TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT READ BOOK**|*

Yeah, PG (I assume you mean Puddleglum just to be sure) was strong. Man, you couldn't tell through the rest of the book but I could never do anything of that sort. And the burn on the foot? Ow.

Yes, PG I meant for Puddleglum. You know, that burn on the foot -- it made me think: maybe sometimes the pain that comes into our lives is really intended to "wake us up" when we start to get lulled into bad habits or poor modes of thought. When we start to believe this world is all there is, and forget about serving God or loving others ... then maybe to wake us up, God lets some kind of pain into our lives. I don't know if CS lewis intended that, but I have thought about it while reading that book.

Yeah. There's ways of looking into Narnia and finding truths, such as the Bible... but the Bible is far greater and the Writer intended all those to be in there. CS Lewis did not, for the most part. But I think God puts little instructions in that book as well if we are careful to look for them.

Yeah, that's deep... even for me xD

I just finished The Last Battle. I still think the overall humor of the ending for TSC was better... but TLB has such an awesome ending that you can't look over it.

Inkspot, you really made sense. I've had theories like that myself. I thought Rillian was so awesome! He really reminded me of Caspian, and with Aslan's blood, that was amazing. That reminds me of Christ, giving his blood for someone else. Puddleglum was incredibly strong. Especially since he is so pesimistic.

Well, the ending of TSL is certainly much funnier than TLB's, which is much more serious...it's beautiful and a little bit terrifying as well, that ending is.

However, TSL...aaaah, what an ending...what really did it was the fact that Caspian came into our world, and the fact that Caspian was young and strong again. Well, at least that was the best thing to me, it hurt me so much to see my favourite character die old and weak, very much unlike the Caspian in PC and TVoTDT.

I always laugh when Aslan tells the children and Puddleglum and Caspian to discipline the bullies. I also loved the part where Aslan's paw is pricked and it raises Caspian back to life. So beautiful.

I seemed to have forgotten that part about Aslan's paw. :( I should really start reading those books again.

I absolutely love The Silver Chair. Its my favorite out of all of the Chronicles.

A great book, It indeed deserves praise for it's brilleance. I find that each Chronicle of Narnia (book) is better than the previous and The Silver Chair is no exception.

Favorite chapter: The Queen of Underland

I agree that the beginning and end of SC are great but I do not like the Queen of the Underland chapter at all.
