A heads-iup for all of you with Cingular cell phones... thought some of you might like this.
I was looking for a new ringtone this morning and came across several songs from the Inspired By soundtrack. Hero by Bethany Dillon, More Than It Seems by Kutless, and New World by TobyMac were all listed under the Christian subheading on the ringtones page at Cingular.com. There could have been more, I am not sure. I could have overlooked some. But you had to get pretty far down in the list to find them. It was a tough deciusion but I ended up downloading New World. My phone is a camera phone and I took a picture of the front of one of my Narnia books and now I have matching wallpaper and ringtone!

Ugh...too bad my Cingular contract runs out soon, cause I'm supposed to switch to Verizon. Maybe I can still get these last 3 months in(if it does run out this year) and have a Narnia ringtone. I have to go look that up now ;)

That would be SOOOO cool (I'd get shamed at college though hehe)
That would be way awesome.
Yeah being a "junior" in highschool would prolly not be good to have it, but who cares. I would ger Narnia Lullaby, Aslans camp and the Battle.
Too bad I have T-mobile.
I have searched on the net and haven't found any, I wonder why?

I have a 3G phone in Australia and pretty much i just use a mp3 cutter and use the real tone as my ring tone ... so pretty much i have the battle ring tone, from where the map changes to real to the gryphon on the rock next to peter ... and my front display has one of the .gif of peter fighting the witch which i obtain from here from one of the wonderful member
But it would be nice to have a animated .gif of the gryphon flying from the start and lands next to peter thats actually related to my ringtone ... that would be sweet

I love the Narnian Lullaby, but I'm not into ring tones, my cell phone is rarely used. :) I do love that music though, goosebump city.
I have a RAZR phone that can play MP3's, but I don't know how to get it? It plugs into my computer, can I do it that way?

I am not sure about your phone. You have a new model. those are nice, byghe way. If you are a Cingular customer, you just go to their web site and can buy them on your account from there or you can get them by using the browser on your phone to find the songs. It costs, though, so I don;t do it all that often.

I have most of the songs as ringtones, I have this program where i make my own ringtones and My main ringtone is the battle scene! I love it!
That is cool. I know my phone has USB port and I have a connection cable, but I don't have a program, such as the CD. It didn't come with it.
I have T-Mobile btw.

Sounds really freaky. I can't imagine my phone ringing with that kinda stuff, but, anyway, I am so mad about Narnia (I've read the whole seven books), that I wouldn't be surprised if one day I do it. :D

Thats sooooo coooooooooooool. I might go and have a look.
I did some searchin, because I was bound and determined to get Narnia ringtones....as well as other CD ringtones not offered through any company.
I found a software program called Motorola Phone Tools(you can buy it on ebay pretty cheap, I just did) and there is SO many things that you can do with your phone, but the main thing is make any CD a ringtone. I cannot wait to use it, it is gonna be so cool.
So if you have a motorola, check it out, it is worth price.
Stephen
Hey Rogue,
If you have a motorola phone, you should really try getting Motorola Mobile Phone Tools...It is THE COOLEST thing I have ever gotten. You can edit songs off ANY CD, get pictures for a wallpaper. This software is the most awesome thing ever. And it is so easy too. You have to get one.
I know have Narnia Lullaby and The Battle as my ringtones. I love them so much.
But Try ebay, it is cheapest, and if you want to not wait for shipping the CD, try to buy from bkivory. He is not affiliated with me, but I just purchased the software off one of his ebay auctions. It works great, he is so friendly. Awesome to deal with. And it is so cheap. 4.98 USd when it is 30 bucks in stores. And you can always download it onto a CD after it is on your computer.

I would love to have a Narnia ringtone, if I had a phone. :D I would put either Remembering You, Lion, New World, I will Believe, Wunderkind or Open Up Your Eyes on there. It'd be hard to decide! :D

" forgive me your majesty"
" mine? or theirs?"
" hello"
" we just want our brother back."
" this is all your fault"
" my fault?"
" none of these would have happened ifyou just listen to me in the first place!"
" so you know this would happen."
" i didn't know this would happen, that is why we have to left while we still could!"

If your phone can record sound, you could just record from the soundtrack, or from the Credits in the DVD.
That might work.
Then you don't have to pay.

The music is nice, but I am trying to find a truly authentic lion roar ringtone. There are three problems doing this:
1. Verizon and all their restrictions on what you can download into their phones. (This can be overcome with some hacks to the phone.)
2. Lion roars contain a great deal of low frequency energy, so making one sound good on a tiny speaker is a challenge.
3. What most people would consider to be a lion's roar is actually a lion snarling or growling (a sound they actually don't make often). Or, in many cases, 'lion roar' sounds are not lions at all. (Cougar screams are often used as 'lion roars'. Even cougars don't scream often.) The real roar is a totally different sound, and is repeated a number of times in a roaring 'song'. It's kind of like Awwwwooooooooooooooggggaaahhhhhhhh.
If anyone knows of an authentic lion roar ringtone (let alone Narnia ringtones/themes) for Verizon, I would be very interested. BTW, my phone is a Motorola V710.
