Contest #2- Prince Caspian Book Cover Contest

[Into the Wardrobe]

Ok, we've done LWW....now let's see what yall have in mind for PC. Please come up with a book cover for Prince Caspian and post it here. In this contest we'll allow several types of drawings, be it on the computer or on paper that is scanned....We may have more than one winner for this contest since we'll seperate them in the judging....drawn vs. computer. So, if you want to make a submission for each category, by all means do so...but no more than two submissions. The judging may not be by poll this time. We'll wait and see. The contest ends September 1st. That gives you a little bit to get your submissions placed on this thread. :D

EDIT: No movie images can be permitted for the contest for copyright reasons. Thanks friends! I can't wait to see what yall come up with! With any images you use, be aware of copyright issues and if you borrow images from other people, give credit where it's due and ask permission first before you use someone else's pics. Thanks.

Your design is wonderful the way it pulls both worlds together with Prince Caspian and the horn dominating the design. Great job in capturing the spirit of the book!

Welcome back from your travels! So nice to have you back :)

What an inspiring design with the crown in the center! I love your negative space Aslan and clean lines in your lettering and fine details. The blending of the ruins and gifts and the tower with Alambil and Targus(or whatever those two stars are) really highlights key elements in the plot.

Oh gosh yes, all of the entries since I entered mine are AMAZING. I especially love Barbarian King and Powl's designs... They look like they took a WHILE. Contest ideas? I dunno. Maybe make a Narnia song?

or how about a poem about a character. Like people can pick a favorite character (more than one person can pick the same character) and write a poem about it. We have really good writers here that can be judges!!!

I second the writing idea. For example, isn't there a mention in one of the books of a character humming snatches of a song about Prince Corin Thunder-Fist? Could be fun for some of our writers to try to come up with what that might have sounded like.

Are we limiting the book cover contest to books that have already been filmed? 'Cause, you know, there's still five more covers you could do!

Both are great ideas. I don't have regular access to the internet at present, so running a contest alone would be tough, but I'll see about getting some help with one and see if we can get another one up and going. Both ideas sound good. I'll look into it soon. In the meantime think about what you'd want to do for both sorts of contests....
