I got red converse before the movie came out. I was in a modern shakespeare play and I got the idea of getting myself red converse for my character and now I love them and wear them all the time (nothing to do with skandar of course).
Everyone says "you're tight" to me.
I like converse because I always feel so bouncy and happy and hip hoppy whenever I wear them. It's the closest thing to peter pan and flying. anyone agree? or does anyone else think i'm tight? pm me and I'll send you a picture of myself with my converse and you can see who's cooler...skandar or Jewel.

Ok people, I think that I AM the CONVERSE QUEEN!!
I have precisely 11 pairs!!
Here it goes...
First I got black low-tops (like Skandar!! *squeels*), second, I got light blue (actually, its called Carolina Blue) low-tops, a size too big, but whatever I was obsessed. I had always wanted high-tops, but my mom thinks they are too punk :rolleyes: .
Next, I got Grey/Navy Blue high-tops, which I really wanted grey, but they didn't have *grrr!*.
And then, I got (with my grandmother who used to wear high-tops in her B-ball classes :cool: ) navy-blue high-tops and light pink high-tops all at once in the same outing. YAY!
After, I got hot-pink Converse, but they really gave me blisters :mad: .
I also got all-black converse (like, black rubber sole and back-canvas), and THAT one took a loooong time to find. :eek: It was a traumatic experience, that is all I have to say...
I also got, beige colored converse low-tops, even thought I relly wanted green. :mad:
OKay, then I got royal-blue low-tops, which I eally don't wear much, but whatever :rolleyes:
And, then I got black high-tops cus I wanted to rebel against my mom with my own money :D
Now, I want red high-tops to honor Skandar....

well, i know you can get knockoffs of converses (low-tops) at PayLess; they come in brown and blue or black- thats what i've seen, at least. Dunno, if u have a PayLess near u, but they're only like $14. Other than that... you'd have to visit the website...

I like Converse, too. I have a pair of black oxford (low top) but I think I might get some other colors. The cool thing about them is the more you wear them, the more comfy they get and the better they look. I line mine better after they look worn in just a bit.

At first, Converse are a little like walking on a wooden board, but once you wear them enough, they get comfortable (not because you get used to it, but because they adjust).

I love Converse so much. They're the only shoes I wear now (except in winter because it snows too much where I live) because they are so comfortable and cool. I had a pair of black low tops that were knock-offs but my first real pair was pink high tops and when they got too small I hung them up on my bedroom wall which is where they are now. Then I had pink ones that said Chuck Taylor on them in dark pink and green (those were super cool). They got really worn out and my mom made me throw them out. :( Actually she made the shoe store clerk throw them out while we were still shopping because she couldn't stand them so much. Now I've gone back to pink and I wear them all the time even if they don't match my outfit.

My best friend has red high tops (which she got about a year before the Narnia movie) and I wore those when I played Dorothy in a Wizard of Oz sketch we did together. Red Converse for ruby slippers, it was seriously amazing.

i understand completely. but anyways. i know a store that sells them cheap. its like my favorite store ever. yeah its a sports store. but it had converses, ice skating gear and soccer stuff so i love it.
