Hehe yeah well I saw the movie before I read the book, so I read the book directly after seeing it and I was pleasantly surprised that they kept some of the little details like that. And then its stupid Edmund who shuts it :p

Yeah, it's funny but I did watch for that as I was watching the movie.

Of course, they changed the story of Lucy's first 2 entrances into the Wardrobe...but the bit about not closing the door, and Edmund closing it foolishly they left in.

Makes me think they may be able to think up some way to keep Eustace's diary entries in Dawn Treader if that movie is made.

did you know that whilst making the film, skandar got trapped inside the wardrobe! he started to panic, but before he got really worried he closed his eyes and remembered that he wasnt edmund penseive but skandar keynes and ordinary school boy from london! the crew then got him out and fixed the wardrobe!! i read that in an interview!

Notice that Peter doesn't shut it completely, either. He, too, knows about wardrobes.

That's an interesting detail about Skandar and the wardrobe.

good one p_p_p, heres another one!
i read that susan (william told it) that while they were filming the ice breaking scene, it was water splashing around them, and susan always walked over the holes where the water came from, so she always got wet, and (sorry for her, but lol anyw) she had a skirt on xP

aww i know. In the books didnt mrs. beaver want to take her sewing machine with her?! In harry Potter they had a programme for the quiddich world cup that had sponsorts adverts the order etc. in, and they didnt even show it properly in the film! I love the way the directors like to have every single tiny detail to make it perfect! It just finishes it off doesnt it?!

Exactly! In some interview Will said that the detail in the beavers' house was amazing because there was so much detail that we didn't even see. Like the toys for her family, shoes, etc.

Yeah, I know, it's so cute. Mrs. Beaver, yeah, she wanted to bring her sewing machine, and everything, but Father Christmas fixed her house, but not in the movie though... well, well. xP

Like u said ppp, they don't have many details i HP, and especially in the 4th film. I was a little disappointed.

Silly Skandar. I've only ever shut myself in a wardrobe once but it was a huge one and there were 4 people in there already during a game of hide and seek.

this is quite irellavant (however you spell that!) but did you know that Edmunds legs are played my Anna when you only see his legsin the wardrobe? Because he went home, so Anna volunteered to do that scene and wore his socks etc.
If this has already been said i appollergise! :P

RE: Skandar getting locked in the wardrobe and Anna stepping over water jets

If I didn't know better, and I do know better, I'd say that Lewis himself was having a bit of fun during the production. Edmund locking himself in the wardrobe and Susan being "all wet" is just his kind of humor. He enjoyed pranks like this when he was alive.

Ya, and I was thinking- I wonder if Lewis ever had a dramatic experience of locking hmself in a wardrobe to have "never lock yourself in a wardrobe" stressed so much in the book!

And yes I noticed how Lucy didn't shut the Wardrobe door all the way- I was actually looking for that as I watched the movie.

I was glad they kept that part. Just one of those little, but satisfying things!
