I really liked the way the designed the wardrobe since they used scenes from The Magician's Nephew. It was a very, very creative way to both include a MN referance and design the wardrobe! Bravo!!!

Yeah that had a WHOLE LOT OF DETAIL on the wardrobe. Each picture had a symbol from the books. I would say them but I don't know it by heart, so I'd have to go downstairs to get the info and I don't want to do that XD

I think the lady at the lower left and right hand corners may also have been a representation of Jadis, seated in her throne in the Hall of Images. And don't forget the two lions on the upper left and right hand corners - for Aslan. :D

Yes, I think it's so beautifully brilliant. It's so cool how it's the whole story of the magician's nephew, and in essence, the history of how the wardrobe came to be. Very nice.

I too love the intricate carvings and the meaning behind each one of them. It was definately appropriate for the film.

I entered the Wardrobe contest every day. The drawing was to take place on or around the 14th of this month, but winners may not be notified exactly right away. It could take a week to 10 days before the letters or emails go out. I would be nice to win.
Just had to show me that jewelry case, huh? LOL

I LOVE that design! When I vistited a museum lately,I found this HUGE wardrobe, made in Germany I think, which reminded me SO much about the Narnian one! The only difference was the size..and the one I saw had angels in it instead of lions, rings and apple trees etc.My dad took a picture of it (he almost had to force me to come with him...I couldn't stop looking at the wardrobe :p) ,so I could post a pic here.It was amazing!

Yeah!! There's another member here AlwaysWinter ( well she has another name now :)) who enters every day too. Now she has competition LOLOL.
That would be soooo awesome to win. And what a collector's item. I'd be opening that wardrobe door every single day just to catch a glimpse of a snowflake. :D

I love the wardrobe in the film. It is so.....Narnian! Telling a story on a piece of furniture would be very approariate for the setting of what is essentially a medeval fantsy story.
I'm working on an idea for a story about a scientist who wants to go to Narnia. He finds the original wardrobe that was in Professer Kirkle's house. He can't own it, so he builds an exact replica of it, and puts it in a lab with every conceivable scientific instrument (remember the landing scene from 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'? Something like that.) surrounding it. At first, nothing happens at all, but then one day.....

I loved it too!! It was soo...erm...well....it looked like it was carved by hand, it was just so professional! It also did look like it was telling the story of how it was created! Which was pretty cool!
