Does anyone remember the quote of Jack's about him always being able to make a good outfit or set of clothes look sloppy or unkempt or something to that effect?

I really need it, so your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

I would tell you if I could, but I'm stumped on that one.

As for your nice quote from Douglas Gresham, about faithfulness to a book: the Walden people must have kidnapped his wife and daughter, threatening to kill them if Doug objected to their absolutely RUINING "Prince Caspian."

I think that is in Surprised by Joy, but I can't be quite sure.

Right, I think it is, but my copy is out on loan to friend.
:(
But at least you seem to know what I'm talking about.

No, it's more about himself. How you could dress him up in very nice clothes, and yet he could still make them look frumpy or unkempt.
But thanks anyway.

I have The Quotable Lewis, "an encyclopedic selection of quotes from the complete published works of C.S. Lewis", 651 pages, I can't find it.:o I look through it again. Do you have anymore info about it?

Yes, I have that book too, oh, I don't know what I'm going to do, it's bugging me so much.
No, that's the only thing about it that I'm looking for, something about his unfortunate talent of always looking dowdy.

Well this isn't it, but a search for dowdy produced: "You don't have to be dowdy to be a Christian." Tammy Faye Bakker lol

Thanks for the chuckle, Songs! You could not find two Christians more UNLIKE each other than Mr. Lewis and Tammy Faye Bakker.
