But everything turned out okay for him, and he was forgiven :) .

If I were C.S. Lewis I would've made it so that Puzzle finally stands up to Shift and give that ape a beating. I have this great set of lines.

Ya, those are good lines, but I don't think that Puzzle is smart enough to say that... I mean, throughout the whole book, all the readers are wanting Puzzle to fnally stand up to Shift, but that's just the point... he has to rely on Shift because Puzzle maybe isn't smart enough to survive on his own. :(

Eustace said earlier "If you'd just stop saying that you weren't clever and try to be as clever as you can." to him. Plus Puzzle finally realizes that Shift is nothing but a dirty traitor. I'd want Puzzle to take that into account.

I like puzzle pretty well. He's extreemely decieved, and easily decieved, just like we sometimes are, and like those in the end times will be by the anti-Christ. So w/ that view of it, I think, comes a lot of sympathy for the poor donkey.

chill out, over jill not liking puzzle. I don't like him either, maybe not quite so much but still. and look at who her favorite character is. The real Jill is hardly a pushover nor is she arrogant like the ape. Jill certainly stands up for herself. Anyone who connects with that kind of a character is going to dislike people who have trouble standing up for themselves. THere's no need to be mean about it.
