I am just curious if by any chance anyone else is going to Oxbridge (http://www.cslewis.org/programs/oxbridge/2008/index.html) summer institute this year? It is a triennial conference put on by the CS Lewis Foundation that brings together some of the best Christian speakers, thinkers, writers, and performers in the spirit of "mere Christianity" from many different branches of our Faith, focused around a particular theme relevant to the engagement of the wider culture. I think this is precisely the sort of thing that CS Lewis would have been very happy with, and this year's conference theme is "The Self and the Search for Meaning." (A cool video promotion of this year's conference is here (http://www.cslewis.org/programs/oxbridge/2008/promovideo.html). :) ) We will spend one week at Oxford University and then the next week at Cambridge University experiencing talks, performances, presentations, fellowship, etc.
It should be awesome and I'm sure I can say more about it after the conference, but I encourage anyone else to consider going next time if possible! :)
