This might sound like a weird topic, so let me explain myself. Yesterday was a very Narnian day for me. :p When I woke up, I was oddly thinking of Narnia, and how I needed to read the books again. Then later that morning, I heard a line in a song that reminded me of something from the books.
So that got me thinking about random things from the books that have really stuck with me, and that I always seem to remember, even if they're not that important to the story.
Like, I always remember the line from VODT when Edmund or Eustace says that a girl can never carry a map in her head. And Lucy replies that's because our heads already have something else in them, or something along that line. :p Then I remember the scene from SC when Charn is being destroyed, because I can always picture it so vividly in my mind, and the scene where Father Time is sleeping in the huge hall. Then there's the Deathwater Island in VODT which also seems to stick with me. I also love the line in MN when the animals call the Uncle Andrew "Brandy", because that's the sound he made most often. :p And I can't forget the last chapter of "The Last Battle", which always makes me cry.
So I guess what I'm asking is, what are your favorite moments from the Narnia books, no matter how important or how random? :)

Very good idea!
I don't know why, but the scenes where Polly and Digory jump into the little lakes in the wood between the worlds somehow got stuck in my mind. Likewise did the singing Lion and the scene where the sun rises for the first time. Now that I think of it...all Aslan scenes belong to my list of favorites. The scene where he talks to Shasta and his paw leaves a spring; or where Lucy meets him in the house of Coriakin...and, of course, when they see him as a lamb. My favorite chapter is the last one of The Last Battle. I can't limit that to a favorite moment, it's the whole chapter.:)

NotATameLion, just a few corrections to make:
Edmund makes the "map" joke in PC, not VotDT. Also, Charn is in MN, not SC. SC has the destruction of the Underworld.
A few of my fave scenes:
MN: The big argument between Digory and Polly in the Hall of Statues in Charn, Polly disappearing at the beginning upon taking the yellow ring.
LWW: Lucy and Tumnus' first meeting, the first introduction of the Beavers and the discussion in their dam.
PC: Realizing they are in the ruins of Cair Paravel, the jaunt with Aslan to reawaken Narnia.
VotDT: Lucy and the Magician's Book, the Undersea people.
SC: Jill thinking Eustace is dead after he falls off the cliff and her talk with Aslan to get the four tasks, Puddleglum's negativity when they first arrive at his home (heck, his attitude throughout the book).
H&HB: Shasta and Aravis in Tashbaan, the end saying why they get married.
TLB: Jill and Eustace freeing Tirian, ther discussion about what happens if they die in Narnia.

For me my favorite moment was the Lucy's first entrance in Narnia and how C.S. Lewis described the scenery, etc. Despite the fact that it was winter in the beginning, I wanted to be there.

Welcome, Alicia. I didn't see you post before. Some random things which stick in my head:
* In SC when Puddleglum burns his foot in the brazier to break the enchantment.
* In MN, when they find the fat guinea pig living happily in the Wood betwen the Worlds.
* In PC when Caspian is reunited with his nurse.
* HHB when we get the glimpse of the grown-up Pevensies, and also at the end of LWW -- I like the courtly way they talk as grown-up kings and queens.
* In SC the salamanders in the fire when the underworld men are going back to Bism -- I would have liked to know more about these salamanders.
I don't know why these things stuck in my brain!

MN: Wood between the worlds, definately.
LWW: First time hearing about Aslan, first time seeing Aslan.
HHB: Aslan talking to Shasta when he can't see him.
PC: Lucy seeing Aslan while the others don't, and Edmund trusting her and Aslan enough to follow! And Lucy trying to wake the trees.
VotDT: Eustace being un-dragoned and he and Ed talk, great! And of course the ending...
SC: brave Puddlegum: 'I'm going to live like a Narnian...' And him putting out the fire, and him saying that even though it seems not-good, and they will probably get killed, they still have to release the prince. Puddlegum is great!
LB: the ending, of course, the first time when Tirian sees the pevensies and Digory and Polly. Aslan.
