We all know you have fantasies at one point of another of what you would do if you were a mod. So here is your chance. What would you do if you became a mod on NF? Would you be a smiteful ruler, feared by the members? Or would you fade into the distance, only popping in to give fair rulings on important issues? Be as crazy (or normal) as you want!

So, if I was a mod, I would laugh. Laugh at all of you who thought I could never become a mod. But I would especially laugh at BC, who would now have to bow to my awesome power! heh heh heh

Well first, I would stage a revolt against the exsisting mods (with the exception of rosey, gray, and perhaps WHB) and place myself in supreme authority over the site.

After I have the moderators under control, I would systematically destroy all who annoy me, starting with the "william, skander, etc., is hot" threads, and working my way through the land of duffers until only those who I see fit to post are left standing.

After this, I will go mad with power, and begin to exigete my will upon other areas of the site, destroying threads and banishing members as I please.

I will apoint HB as head of my evil counsel, he will serve me well, until he fears that I have grown to powerful at which point he will turn on me and destroy my evil empire. He will then restore much of Narniafans, and bring the forums back to their former glory.

I'm an in 100% agreement with this! If I were a mod I would definitley condense all of those threads into just one or two. It takes forever to go through the "new posts" because you have so many threads that just repeat the same things over and over and over and over.......

If I were a moderator here, I'd behave the same as I generally do in the forum, trying all the while to exercise good judgment, fairness, objectivity, and patience. I would not seek to change another member to suit my preferences about things, but try to resolve things as objectively as I can.

I am actually a moderator / administrator on another fan related website with a forum of about 1600 members on it. I take pride in what I do in that particular forum, and although it is sometimes not easy to please all the members of that community, I think it's not just about controlling or dominating the forum, but striving to keep things harmonious between a great number of people through various backgrounds, cultures, religions, and nationalities.

This is a great forum, it's not over-moderated, but it also has rules and guidelines that keep things harmonious here, thus it is for that reason, that I wouldn't change a thing about this place; well, I might add a few more smilies to the list, but that's not something major. ;)

If I we're a mod, I wouldn't take away the 30 second rule, but I'd make it twenty seconds.

I would however take off the 60 second pming rule, because that makes things difficult.

Unfortunately, I think these are things only Specter can do, not the mods. :D

He lost his mind years ago. TDL as it stands wouldn't exist with an admin that hadn't lost his mind. I think TG might have hid it somewhere. But we love our Specter...the ghostly presence of TDL. More like the mad webmaster! He fits right in here! :D

You know, I think the other mods' 'correction' policy has improved dramatically since the days during which PotW was first made a mod... he kept starting to say something, and then there would be a tremendous crash, and a strange-looking message about some junior mod going in for re-orientation... :D
