The design of Miraz's ornate armor had its roots in the back story of the Telmarine culture- that being one of pirates from ancient Earth who found their way into Narnia centuries ago and established a new civilization there. Searching for a unique shape and color identity to distinguish the Telmarines, Weta's artists mined this lost history for inspiration.

I looked at it and what they said was pretty cool. Sergio Castelito is a good actor, I am not sure how well he can do slightly spanish-accented English, but he must have been chosen for some reason.

I can't remember if it was in the blog or in gP's report, but I was sad about one of the comments from Isis in one of the interviews she did about Miraz and the other characters though...she said that she didn't use the Pauline Baynes illustrations and held the script over the book this time...frightening. I love Isis, but that comment scared me.
