The whole thing with Susan not getting into New Narina kinda held a edge with me, though I can undersand why, and Mr. Lewis's reasons for having it be done and all...

So, here's an idea of story I was going to write... this is the summary...

Its been twenty years in England, Susan's locked in a less than happy marriage, when suddenly she gets a pull from Narnia, and things have changed drastically

Aslan has disappeared, the kingdom's in ruins, and Lucy, Peter, and Edmund have become her worst enemies- they've become dark knights of Tash instead...

Its up to Susan and her family to restore peace to Narnia. Susan The Gentle has returned!

Does that sound like a good idea or a bad one?

I like the whole idea of Susan becoming more involved because personally she is my favorite character, but the whole Peter, Edmund and Lucy turning evil is a bit drastic, I would think they'd try and save Narnia not become wrapped up in the overwhelming evil. But it is quite good.

I agree. Susan is my favourite but the other Pevensies being "evil" might be stretching it a bit. However, the idea is a splended one and I am looking forward to reading it! Please do!

It seems clear to me that there is a range of possible positions between "Friend of Narnia" and utterly wicked.

It is quite possible that Susan lost her way and was for quite some time not useful to Aslan in his ongoing efforts to repair the thread of history.

However one must remember that she looked into the eyes of The Lion. Keep in mind "Show thy children the ways which are right, and when they are grown they shall not depart from them."

I think Aslan was waiting to be missed. And yes, I believe Susan returned to him. But I believe she made life choices for which she had to suffer consequences. Just remember Edmund. Aslan loved him too, despite everything.

i think that if they are in the new narnia it would be hard for them to turn evil. but i like the idea of a story about susan

I think the book idea sounds great! I don't mind the other kids becoming evil....but will Susan bring them back to the good side?
For me...Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy have been my favoright part of the Chronicles. As long as the book deals with them and their struggles...I WILL 4 SURE read it!
All and all...your idea sounds great...let me know ASAP when I could read a few Chapters!

I definitely like the idea of Susan being a hero in a later book, because I really like Susan too, but I'm pretty sure that in the "New Narnia" things cannot go wrong. After all, this is like heaven, where you no longer succomb to the temptation to do evil.

However, I think that this idea is very good of Susan going back and being a hero again. Perhaps you should choose to make up another world (since there are plenty to choose from-see The Magician's Nephew, specifically the chapter, "The Wood Between the Worlds") for Susan to save. You can even make it kind of similar to Narnia if you'd like, or introduce a similar plot line to LWW, with a "blue witch" since it seems that the white and green colors are already taken by witches. ;) But of course, Aslan will be in this world too, and Susan will of course come back to Aslan's country in the end. I would love to hear a more detailed plot line (if you need any further assistance). Good Luck!

Ok instead of them acctually becoming evil it could be like a dream she had....I read a chapter in this one book where the person is dreaming and it tells you they fell asleep at the beginning but the rest is so well written I completely forgot!! You could do that....or this may sound far fetched....you could have like these people disguised as Ed, Lu, and Peter, and the real ones are being held prisnoers or SU could have come to trust these imposters and then she has to figger out whos the imposters.....I dunno....but I dont think that Ed, Lu and Peter to become evil....

Ed's been "evil" once already, I think it's a bit harsh to do it to him again...

I like the sound of the story, but may not the part about Peter, Edmund and lucy turning evil, but maybe you could say its like the White Witchs unkonwn dughter hu is more powerful than her mum and she kidnaps the three and enchants them or something!

OMG the other got evil? I thought we'd already dragged Edmund away from the dark side once!

Yes, the idea of the Pevensies becoming evil is a bit awkward. There was already a traitor in the first one [Edmund], and having them all become traitors doesn't make much sense. Good idea, but it doesn't work for me.

I like this idea best -- especially if you are a believer, because you have the opporunity to show Aslan/Christ in another form, in another world. And Susan could realize: I have forgotten all about Aslan I knew as a child! And then meet him in a new form, reaize who he is ... and either come back to his country in the end, or determine to follow him (Jesus) in this world, as a living believer who knows that some day she will come to Aslan's country. That could be great.

Thanks for all the advice and tips ^_^ I feel a bit more confident since I just came back from the movie! IT ROCKED

My mom cried when Aslan's part came up- I forget to tell her ^^' I merely stared and had a tight feeling in my chest..*shivers*

I like the part about the enhantment... and such..

So, here's idea number two into the mix! I love it how you gave me suggestions instead of flaming ^_^ Unlike my other fanfics sites...anyhoo.

Susan is taking a walk then out of the blue she sees her long dead brothers and sister and try to kill her on sight. Obviously they're imposters by the "Blue" Witch. Mr. Tumnus and Mr. Beaver bring Susan to Narnia where she finds a cave, with three stone tablets. On which, are the real Peter, Lucy, and Edmund. There's a slight problem.....they've litterally become incomplete and are plauged by their deepest fears.

Peter- Doubt
Edmund- betrayal
Lucy- fear

Like the Dwarves that wouldn't be taken in in the Last Battle. To break the spells over them, Susan must rise up and fight- but this time, she's alone.

It depends on the scope of your story. If you just want to write fanfiction where you borrow heavily from the original story, then you don't have to do much; the characters and setting are all already developed for you. If you want to actually write a story unto itself, then best to drop Narnia since it's already gone, and that concept of evil siblings is doable but you'd need to be an accomplished writer to make it acceptable.

After TLB, there is no more Narnia )except new Narnia, where we are to understand nothing can go wrong), and it is at that point Susan is left out.

I think for her ever to come to new Narnia, she has to have an encounter with Aslan, and I still like the idea that she should meet him in another world completely in another form -- as Daishi suggests, don't even make it Narnia, make it a new place, and without the other Pevensies (unless you want to give grown-up Susan some children or grandchildren). That's what I think would be best ... because after TLB, I don't think there is anymore evil that can happen in Narnia, it's over, is my understanding.
