View Full Version : Who do you relate to the most?

When you read The Chronicles of Narnia I'm sure there are characters in which you can relate to by virtue of your own characteristics. You get so caught up in the story you begin to see yourself as that character, because there are so many commonalities you share with that character.

For those of you who have read all the books in the complete series, I ask, which character do you relate to the most, and why?

Once I complete the books I hope to reply and share with you the character I mostly relate to and see so much of myself in.

I relate to Susan Pevensie the most, because just like her I am bossy but, I do have a heart. I am always there for my siblings whenever there is a time of danger and when it is needed most.

Hurrah for the bossy, yet kind and gentle out there! I think I most relate to Susan, but I could also pass by with saying Lucy, because I tend to explore a bit and take some risks...

I relate most to Peter, though my favorite character is Edmund.
I relate to Peter because I am the oldest of 4 children, and the order goes boy/girl/boy/girl just like the Pevensie's. Being the oldest requires great responsibility like Peter had too. And, according to my mom, I treat my little brother the way Peter treated Edmund at first in the movie lol!

I relate the most to Susan. I am the oldest of four (two girls two boys), so I naturally tend to look after and boss around my siblings. I'm also the cautious type but I know that when things have to be done, they well...have to be done. At the same time, I'm also a bit like Lucy because I wouldn't mind fighting alongside the boys. And I'm an archer, I can ride on horseback, I'm learning how to swordfight and I know quite a bit about "healing" the ill. :)

There was a time I would've told you Peter...but that was because I was mistaken. I'd most like to be like Peter, the perfect hero, a leader, the rock and an all around swell fella. But I think I'm closer to Edmund.

I'm not saying that I would sell out anyone, or betray anyone...at one time maybe (and who doesn't fail now and again?) but the reason I relate most to him is because, he came back.

Edmund's not perfect, but he made up for his mistakes in the end (which is what I think everyone should do...rectify their errors) he even tells Eustace about it in Dawn Treader. I can totally relate to Eustace too, but honestly when I was a little kid, I really was like that...toadying, know-it-all, :p Yeah, bad I know.

Edmund and Eustace to me are the most "real" characters. I wish I could be Peter but I'm more Edmund...not quite perfect but not evil either. *shrugs* But I'm still one of the good guys.

I didn't expect to find so many Susan lovers, but she's the one I most relate to aswell. I sometimes get the impression that Susan would have been content as a practical, even-headed atheist if she hadn't been faced with the reality of theism in Narnia. She always seemed the most real of the humans in Narnia to me. Poor old Susan.

I would love to be called Susan the Gentle! Because I am...But I am the eldest girl in my family out of 5, two older brothers above me, and a younger sister and a twin bro, but I tend to be the bossy one...my sibs tease me because I act like the mother sometimes...

Hmmm...tough one, but I think when I was a kid I could relate the most to Edmund-supremely mischievous, rebellious, and a tease. :) But, now I think as I have grown up, I have become like Professor Digory Kirk-intelligent (he's a professor after all) and serious, but still a big kid at heart.

Susan an atheist?! I doubt it personally...after all she tends to act very "Christianlike" and "motherlike" as well. Not that atheists can't but I just don't see her as one. :p if that made any sense!

she did also deny the whole times they had in narnia once she grew up as well and thats a major theme played out in the last battle.

I relate to Edmund the most, I think. I'm the third of four children myself (though I have a twin sister-she's older by a minute). I also tend to have the whole 'attitude' thing he has going on in the LWW, with the teasing of people and stuff. >_< But overall, I'm a nice person, like he becomes towards the end of LWW. So yeah...

This is going to sound wierd but I relate to both Peter and Edmund.
Peter is the oldest and he feels a strong responisbility for everyone else. And he seems to have the job of being a leader forced upon him.
I have a group of friends that are more like sisters to me but I am older than all of them by at least two years. So naturally I feel like the leader. Some of the girls lean on me heavily for support especially when there isn't a mother in their life.
And it does feel like I am constantly in a battle (spiritually) hoping I'm doing the right thing but wondering if I'm not.

I am like Edmund because I am sentimental. In the movie he goes back in the house for a picture of his Dad. I would have too. He has older siblings that are trying but only come off as bossy. He sinned but felt so much remorse and really did turn his ways. But then he felt like he had to prove himself.
Plus he has trouble with the rules. So do I.
So I think I am a mixture of both but most like Peter.

I most relate to Peter, by far. We both have Older Sibling Syndrome. We're both really protective (I am of my brother and even of my friends... hehe). I also get annoyed with my yonger brother, too. Hehe. I'm positive he will never learn to do as he's told! I also refuse to let people see me scared - I feel I have to be brave for them, like Peter.

I would probably say Lucy... because even though I am 19 I am the youngest in my family and most of the time my parents and brother just see me as a child and someone who isn't always important to listen to. I still act pretty childish but at the same time I know when to be mature.

Although Peter is my favorite character, he is so hot, I think I would relate most to Edmund most, despite all the teasing and stuff I would never do that, but I can get an attitude at times, and he's not a bad person he is actually quite good in the end

well ive taken numerous tests and junk like that just to kid around and see who id get, ive been all of the pevenise children at least once and i guess from thosed id have to say susan, though id rather be like an innocent character such as lucy, but if i am allowed to go outside of that little circle, id have to say im most like polly (MN) cause she seems to have a factual type mind and can be stubborn and such at times..so im most like her if you ask me...

i relate to a few characters....
Trumpkin, it takes a lot to get me to believe and I dont paticulary like it when I get beat by a kid....Nikabrik, because I am tend to be the meaner kind of person...it took me a long time to see the light of God, I figgerd I had it since I was born in a christian home. I think Nikabrik thought he had all he needed being an old Narnian. And Reepicheep, small on the outside...rarely taken seriously, but I am big on the inside. I also pretend to be tougher then I acctually am, like him.

I think in ways I am most like Lucy though I'm a 46 year old man. Her curiosity, boldness, and willingness to cry at someone's misfortune.

Here's a little secret I waited a while to tell. Like her, I've also walked with my hand in a lion's mane. Rocky is one of the rescues at our sanctuary. Unlike Aslan, he's not very well mannered, but his heart is in the right place.

I took some sort of online personality test that said I best matched with Mr. Beaver.

I was hoping to be matched with Aslan, but, I suppose I'm not all that wise and patient. LOL

I absolutley love that picture!!! Its sooo cute!!! I tried to convince my mom to get me a pet lion, after seeing second hand lions (looove that movie), and she told me not on my life then I asked my dad and he said that the lion would eat me....I said it would protect me from bad people, daddy countered with 'it will be wild and you cant predict' hmmmph I want a lion! Natrually the lion so would not hurt me....it would adore me!!!

I've held lion cubs at a sanctuary in South Africa, and they do bite.

But back to the point. I can't decide who I'm more like. I'm irritating and I know in the past I've done stuff just to stop other people having a good time (like Eustace) but I'm also headstrong and do things without thinking about the repercussions (like Jill). So I can't decide! But my favourite character is Edmund.

I would have to say that I am mosy like Lucy... I always liked to explore and definately fight alongside with the men. Also, I can relate to Lucy as she gets pushed around by her big brother and how her other brother, (Peter) looks out for her when they're around Edmund. I also often have a craving for adventure and for another world.
