Oh my gosh!! i feel like such an idiot! I was just skimming over some notes i made on the series,(yes, i make notes on books i like, its called a FANDOM XD), and once i made the transition from TMN and LWW, it clicked to me! Prof. diggory, is the Professor! Thats why he's so interested in the adventures in narnia, the wardrobe, and allways gives the creepy line of "try me". Someone, please tell me they just made this connection too!

*jumps up and down* See this is exactly why I'm so annoyed with the reordering of the books...LOL Sorry, it's a bit of an obsession with me.

I read the books The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe first, and The Magician's Nephew fifth so I figured that out the first time I read the book (The Magician's Nephew).

It's subtly there but you can miss it. I also liked how it explained the lampost AFTERWARDS not before...I just thought...hahaha, lamposts in the forest cool it's magic. But if you know how they're there in the first place... :( not so much fun.

But yeah, it's not glaringly obvious, I'm sure you're not the first person to miss it. There's a reference to Cor in The Silver Chair (which in the other order makes it the 4th book) so it alludes to what's coming next...see? This is why I like that order better.

When I read the series, i skipped the magicians nephew but i started again just today and when i read it im like, "Oh, so that explains it!"
I thought of it while reading the last battle but it kind of confirmed my "theory"

I read LWW, then MN, then everything else chronologically. Yep, I knew that the Prof. was there when Narnia started, but I couldnt figure out who it was!! HAHA! I caught on by the end of MN tho. :)

I saw the LWW movie before even reading the series!
I read MN a couple of weeks ago and kinda worked that out!

It's okay, Aslan17, I'm sure there are (or will be) tons of other people who didn't know that Digory as a boy is Professor Kirke! Ya, I love reading the series starting with the LWW and reading MN sixth like the classic way! It makes a large part of the mystery of the story fall together in a really great way!!!!!
