Sardinia could be used for one of the islands. It has small but dramatic-looking mountains.

In a new blog entry, KNB EFX guru Howard Berger mentions that work on Prince Caspian is now complete and he will be taking a short break before beginning work on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Filming on Dawn Treader will begin in late January. First up in the locations this time will be the island nation of Malta, as expected, followed by Prague and Iceland.

Malta is an archipelago in Southern Europe with a very interesting history. You should check about it in Wikipedia or something alike.

I know at one point they were looking at Australia, but don't know how many places they'll film. The more they can stay in Malta, the happier Doug will be on a personal level I think since it's closer to home for him, but if it's better for the film to go a few other places then so be it.

It will be interesting to see how many different places they go to film.

Cool! I've never been. Lioness Aslan lives there and I know that Son of Adam was there with the military when he was younger. I had a classmate from there in college. It would be a fun place to visit I think.

I wonder what all the scenery looks like there and how much of the film they'll be able to film around there. I'm guessing with the set construction that they'll be able to make things the way they want them to in order to represent the various islands of VDT, to make it come out well without having to move to a different country for each of the different islands.

Malta is beautiful. The ocean can be crystal clear near the shore. The towns are clean, the people great, and you can get all sorts of American food there. Also it is a completely English speaking country. You can go to the movies and see all of the latest releases. At least that is what it was like some 40 years ago. LOL:D

Yeah...it's still like that :p They've usually got the same release dates as the UK :D
