C.S. Lewis, after writing The Last Battle, admitted to having ideas for more Narnia Chronicles. He explained that there were really two: One from a latter adventure of Digory and Polly, when they go to Narnia and keep the White Witch away for a little while longer, and another for when Susan became a believer of Narnia again.
If Lewis were to write any more Chronicles of Narnia, what do you think they would be about?

When Miraz conquors Narnia and the Narnians go into Exile. That would be cool. But, um, yah

I love the idea of Susan's return to Narnia!
The only saddest thing in all the books is that she has turned her back on Narnia.

Agreed. Lewis said that there wouldn't be any more books though...however, I've heard that other authors may be allowed to write other ones soon. Personally I hope not, but there it is.
The subjects mentioned would be interesting ones...but leaving the one about Susan unwritten in my mind allows the reader to think about where they stand in relation to the Lord and where they'll end up.

I agree with Into The Wardrobe here, but I also would love to know more about Jadis. And LifeMaiden had started this huge story about Jadis before she came to Narnia and her rise to power in Charn, etc. It is a terrific read if it is still there. She did tell me that she is coming back to finish the tale. If she don't I will personally go kick her butt, except that knowing Michelle it would be the other way around.:D

I think he means a few years before Prince Caspian, when Miraz was doing the actualy conquering. PC takes place after the conquering is all done.
I wish there was more about the Pevensies' reign.

Uhhh... Miraz didn't conquer Narnia. Caspian I did. Unless you're talking about when Miraz murdered Caspian's father and took over.

I currently have an idea for a story about how Jadis took over Narnia. It is more of a fanfiction in a sense, but I also have a Biblical them woven into it about how Narnia fell into a state in which Jadis could conquer it. I also give a little twist about the Pevensie's connection to Narnia (But I can't tell you!) that's really cool. If there was one more Chronicle written, that would be the one I would want to read the most.

If you get it to the readable point, I'm sure we'd all love for you to post it in the Professor's Writing Club section!
I personally don't think that Narnia is the kind of series that leaves itself open to add-ons after the original author has finished. They just wouldn't be the same.

Oreius, I have _often_ wondered how Jadis actually took power. As I've said in connection with my own fanfic, it doesn't seem possible that the Deep Magic was requiring death to all traitors from the _very_ beginning of the Narnian world. If it had been so, then every creature in that world who joined Jadis would have been ipso-facto a traitor to Aslan, so Jadis would have had to kill the renegades as fast as they came to her, and she would never have had an army. Something had to have happened _later_ to make Jadis "the Emperor's hangman." This is the very thing your story would address.
If you do not have a possessive sense of territory over the story you have in mind, I suggest that you get together with EveningStar. He has some idea of what might have happened, for his Byron-on-Wells tales include references to heroic Narnian martyrs who died opposing Jadis' takeover. And of course, if LifeMaiden ever resumes participation here, she would have ideas too, since she was writing a Jadis epic before she left.

"When Miraz conquors Narnia and the Narnians go into Exile. That would be cool. But, um, yah"
supermeulen, It was Caspian I (Caspian the Conqueror) who took control of Narnia.
Now I would have liked to see another Golden Era Chronicle. The only one we get is H&HB, which is not focused on Narnia. I wanted one where the Pevensie royaty is center stage.
I am doing a fanfic on that right now and am getting closer to getting chapter 1 typed out. I am doing it pencil-to-paper to start off with and actually have a rough draft of the first chapter which I am embellishing as I type. It takles place a year after the coronation when Queen Lucy takes a vacation with Lord Tumnus at his house (what, you don't think Lucy didn't make him a Lord? He deifed the law to keep her alive).
Another thing I would have wanted to see was a Chronicle in Telmar. I actually have a fanfic in mind for that as well.

Oh yes. You're right. I didn't think of that. But still, Caspian the first would be cool to read as well, though not the part that Narnia is raided. It would probably end up like the movie Revenge of the Sith.

I don't mind fanfics at all...but I hope that they won't allow more stories to be written that are considered to be on the level of the first. As far as I'm concerned the set is finished. It would be lessened by anything else being added where it would be expected to be regarded on the level that the original books are. Fanfics are cool, but nothing more than that for me.

I would have to say, that I probably wouldn't enjoy another set of books that are not by C.S. Lewis himself. But despite my feelings, I would be intrested to at least take a look at them.

I definitely agree with Into_The_Wardrobe, it can even be hard to see the books slightly changed in the movies, I do not think I could accept another Chronicle written by someone other than C.S Lewis, however if it were possible I would love for one to be written of Susan's return to Narnia with the 4 children reigning together once again.
Although at least with the way they are it is left to each individual reader's imagination.

I haven't seen anything on the New Narnia Chronicles. Are they really going to be made?

I just bought a NEW Chronicles of Narnia book today. It's designed for younger children and it's titled, "The Giant Surprise, a Narnia Story" written by Hiawyn Oram and illustrated by Tudor Humphries. It's a storry featuring Puddleglum and his niece, Lally, a brave little Wigglet, as they help the marsh mice challenge the roaring, rock-throwing, not-so-clever giants of Shribble Gorge. And the book was published by Harper Collins back in 2005.
Just wanted to let you know that there are others out there as I originally said there were way back when. LOL
