Adult Cast for the characters

While I was cheking the Characters page I noticed that Edmund and Peter in movie notes have two actors the one playing each and another one said to be the adult version of the characters. Why is this?

Then what about Lucy and Susan they don't have an adult actor to portay them. Don't they grow up in the movie?

I've never seen a pic of Rachael. I've seen all the other actors, though...they look pretty good.
