(If this is the wrong place for this or not appropriate or you just don't like it mods feel free to lock this destroy it whatever and let me know so i don't do it again)ok the other day i was reading in my bible and it was like amazing three verses really just like stuck in my head and i thought about them for a while and this is what i got and i just had to let someone know how i felt some of these verses to unnderstand you might have to read a verse before and after.
first here are the verses out of the NIV and i will let you guys look them up
John 14:6 its about how jesus is the only way to the father and what caught my attention was how many people think as long as your part of a religion you'll be all right it doesn't matter if you pray to a rock as long as you believe in a god your alright i don't agree with this. Those same people say they believe the bible so when they say it don't matter what religion you affiliated with are they calling god a liar because there is only one way to the father
John 14:9 This stuck out to me because i am a lot like Philip I found hanging around jesus doesn't mean you really know him you can hang around christians and church but that doesn't mean a thing unless you start a relationship
John 14:13 the key to this verse is the second part were it says "so the son may bring glory to the father." Many people think when you pray god will do whatever you ask as long as you say it in his name but thats not true the catch is the part i just wrote it has to bring glory to the father
please respond tell me if you felt the same way the book of John is my favorite book in the bible so far i haven't read it all yet but i'm working on it

Two of Mine:
John 3:16-17 -- For God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn it, but that the world through him might be saved.
Genesis 1:1 -- In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the earth. The earth was empty and without formation. And the spirit of the Lord hovered above the waters.

I always forget the refrence but....
They said onto you that in the last of times there will be scoffers who follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who will divide us for they follow mere natural instinct and do not have the Spirit. But dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holly faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Be merciful to tose who doubt. Snatch others from the fire so that they may be saved. To others show mercy mixed with fear, hateing even clothing stained by corrupted flesh. To him who is able to bring you into his glorious presence without fault and with great joy. To the God our Savior only be glory, power, athority and magesty.
It might be a wee bit wrong because that was from memerization and I stink like sour krout and memorizeing stuff.

Mine would have to be 1 Timothy 4:12
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity."

My new favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20 (that's why its in my signature :) )
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
This verse is what being a Christian is all about. If you had to summerize Christianity into one sentence, this would be it.

"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." Psalms 139:16
This is a verse that is sometimes difficult to hold onto as a promise, yet, to me, it is invaluable if we just can fathom it. It says that in no matter what situation or circumstance I am going through, God wrote down each day of my entire life and He knows what I am facing and am about to face in this life. He wrote it before I even existed on this earth. He laid it out and He knows the beginning of my life, the ending of it, and everything inbetween. When I realize that, I can understand that if He wrote out the whole plan of my life, He will guide and help me through it all if I will only trust in Him.
