Prolly been hundreds of these topics before, but hey - let's do it again in that case :)
And as I expect Aslan to be the main favorite character for most of us, I think we'll leave him out this time.
Tell us - who touched your heart the most, in which way and how? Or who made you laugh? Whatever reason you have for liking your favorite the best, please share :)
1: Magician's Nephew:
Been a long time since I last read this one. I'll have to say Strawberry. I really felt sorry for him because of the way he was treated by his master before he came to Narnia. And I love to see him be so blessed as to become the father of all winged horses (pegasi, if you like) in Narnia :).
2: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe:
The Beavers for their unshakeable faith in Aslan. They're an example to all of us. Even when it seems the darkness will have no end, when sins and fears seem to prevail in our lives, we can take refuge in the Lord and when we are depressed and our houses leaking, we can lift our heads and remember that the joyous Day will come when our Lord will return and we'll be with Him forever and ever.
3: Prince Caspian:
I actually have several favorites here:
Trufflehunter - again for unshakeable faith in Aslan. "No credit to me, sire, I am a beast - and we don't change".
Lucy for the same reason, and that she's willing to follow Aslan alone, even if the others won't listen.
4: Voyage of the Dawn Treader:
Reepicheep - the very mirror of valor, though his bravery sometimes outwits his wisdom hehe :)
Eustace - love it when he meets Aslan, who completely transforms him, just like Christ does to us when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior :D
5: The Silver Chair
Jill - for not being merely a saved sinner, a tool in Aslan's hands. When she falls, failing to remember the signs, she begs Aslan for forgiveness and gets back to the task she's been given.
Puddleglum - he's so pessimistic he makes me laugh.
Rillian - When he comes to and stands up to the witch. I love that. Just like a sinner recently being saved :D
6: A Horse and His Boy
Shasta/Prince Cor - Again one who is alone with his faith in many situations, just hoping to get to Narnia and doing everything he can to get there and finally he meets Aslan and realizes he can't do it without him. Like us today, we can not do anything ourselves. Jesus has to help us - more than that - He has to do everything for us, through us in order that we may do anything according to His will. :D
Bree - Again his constant faith and courage, and for sharing Narnia with Shasta.
7: The Last Battle: The donkey - don't remember what he's called in English (I'm Norwegian, you see). He was taken advantage of and then he meets Aslan who loves him :D
Jewel - the dear, steadfast, brave unicorn :D. Wish I had him for a friend hehe.
Yet, overall the books, I'd have to say Edmund is my favorite. I'm not really sure why, but I like him :)
