Over the past few months, the moderators and I have been talking about NarniaFans.com T-Shirts. I now have a great supplier of high quality shirts, and am curious as to what you, the fans, would like to see.

What should they look like? What might be on them?

Let's see your ideas. We've got many of our own, and are looking for more to add to our pool before we decide on some.

Ideas should include: T-Shirt style and color.

We're also able to get Convoy knit hats, caps, ringer tee's, and raglan tee's.

There are many many options. If you have an idea, perhaps even post a shirt that we can see what your idea actually is.

Things to stay away from: Using actual images from the movie is a big no-no, as they would have every right to sue us, plus the more colors, the higher the cost up front.

One idea I've had is:

Front: NarniaFans.com
Back: Merely a Trifle
Basic Shirt... perhaps dark green with white writing.

I still have from nearly 30 years ago the T-shirt I had made upon my discovery of Narnia! There is a prominent lion on the front, face-forward, in a roar, but head only! The back of the T-shirt proclaims: "Aslan is NOT a tame lion". I would suggest something very similar with the narniafans.com logo on the back under the sentence about Aslan. My T-shirt was an orange background (light orange) with a red lion and wording. The orange was a tip of the hat to Clemson University (then orange and purple, now orange and white) my alma mater for BS and MS. The red was contrast (but since I got my MD from University of South Carolina - red and black- maybe is was a prescient or preternatural choice?).

I think light background with dark image or print would work best, hold up the longest (I'm not sure I can fit in my old T, to be honest!), and be the lowest cost to produce. But, hey, orange and red?, I'm flexible. :cool:

That's an awesome idea!

If you could perhaps create a color chart for me... if that's not possible, then so be it.. and also, if you could, perhaps come up with a lion image, which isn't necessary either, but something that can easily be turned into a screen print image.

Anything anyone can do to help come up with this shirt design.. including font choices, etc..would be fantastic. Again, I've got a print shop ready to go with whatever.

I have this company's catalog, and it's the supplier they use, so take a look around, but remember ladies...gentlemen will want them too.

We could probably do that, but even in that there are legal issues, as the art is owned by the artist, unless it were donated for the shirt.

I think it should have the same thing that's on the front of the suits that Aslans army wears. With Narnia Fans written above it.

On the back should be random images from the movie.

That'd be cool, but as Paul said earlier up, the use of images infringes on copyright. Fan art and fan fiction are all amateur efforts as no profit is being made from them, but when you start using images from films and other places, you get into trouble, because you make money off people's copyrights. It's really a gray area.

My suggestion is a sort of landscape scene that looks like Narnia or brings one to think of Narnia. My friend sent me some images that she made of Lake Louise in Alberta Canada which are absolutely beautiful, I'll post one as an example. This isn't an expectation, as Tshirt costs could get astronomical for the one making the efforts, but if someone can sketch something black and white, then it might work as a two tone color scheme, and the snowy scene with the printing of Narnia fans, in a Victorian or Renaissance font would look really timely for the effect.

Does my idea count for anything? I don't know... well anyway I don't know if someone's suggested this or not but here's my idea.

So the front says 'narniafans.com' arched around the coller, and the back says 'No matter what... I believe.' and those words are circled around a image of a wardrobe with the word 'Faith' written across it. The shirt is Narnia red and the lettering is off white, kind of parchment color.

What do you think? :)

Graycloak, I love your idea about a how to keep a Duffer busy. Too funny. I totally busted up laughing when I read that.

Like the shirts you have. Great job on them. I had a few ideas for possible other ones though. How about having the same color scheme of the Narnian flag. Red on green background. I know it may not show up as well, but it would be kind of cool. Also you could use a standard lion paw print. Don't really know what else you would do with it. The possibilities are endless.

The shirts are really cool and I hope I can get my son to order one for my wife and I, maybe for Christmas. I personally cannot afford them at this time. My wife has Muscular Dystrophy and is terminally ill and we just have nearly all of our finances wrapped up in medical expenses and transportation to the doctors, clinics, therapy, and hospitals. Doesn't leave much left for us to splurge on things.

I go with the The Dancing Lawn [or TDL] Member thing [on the back] and make the shirt the color of the forums background with the picture that's on there [on the back as well].

Hey Paul, i had some questions regarding the T-shirts. I've finally come to the point where i want to get one (if you've ever seen the Hitchhiker's guide: it's like the vogons' process of saving their grandmother from the bugblatter beast of traal:p.)
Anyway, are the only shirts currently available the 'Turkish Delight' Tshirts? Or are there more coming with PC coming up? And also: how long does it take to ship one to the Netherlands? (Like, if i buy one now, do i have it by July 2nd when the movie comes out, or is that too soon?)

I've had a similar idea to this that I've used on another forum. I think that it should say "Proud Member of" and then the TDL logo on it. Then on the back have your username on it.

I like that shirt too Caspian Girl. Well, I like the message but I mean I would like that shirt. :D As far as t-shirt ideas, if you guys are still doing the ideas thing, maybe have different t-shirts with different characters, like Aslan, the four pevensie children and maybe reepicheep or something. They can all say the same message of narniafans.com and have a message on the back that is the same. But, so that each t-shirt is different and people can get their favorite characters. Just a thought. It might be too much work though. :o

Hey yall, Specter has an online store that he's working with that you'll eventually be able to order shirts through. There will be all new shirts available. The old ones sadly are not going to be available to my knowledge. Hang in there, the new ones will be available soon. Specter has been really busy of late with a ton of stuff, but he's got the t-shirt thing in the works. I saw them several months ago. I can't remember exactly how they looked, but they were great! I wanted to get one then. Ah well, I'll have to wait too. We'll post announcements when they're ready to go.

when you look at them you should definitly be able to tell they're talking about narnia for one. I think they should have pics or symboles and possibly some humor.

Has anyone heard of CafePress.com? It's a pretty cool place that you can make all sorts of things like t-shirts, hats, hoodies..etc.
I have a shop there that sells my Twilight designed t-shirts (Which sold 30+ shirts) and some cute ones of my own design called the "Sweetheart Series".
I'd be willing to collaborate to make some for NarniaFans.com :D
