It would have been nice if they also used NZ I think, since NZ has so many varied landscapes. I don't see why the majority of the Chronicles movies can't be filmed there. But maybe I have a prejudice towards the land of Kiwis :)

"European Forests?" well I don't know if Ireland has a lot of forests...I was under the impression it had beautiful rolling green hills and pastures but not forests. Do you think they'll pick the Czech Republic or Poland again, or possibly Germany for the movie PC?

Ireland has BEAUTIFUL forest I'll have you know! lol OJ! No, they will probably film in Romania, Germany, Poland, those places as they have stunning forests. :)

The Hollywood Reporter’s "Risky Biz" blog brings us some interesting news about the second and third Narnia films.

In regards to the upcoming Prince Caspian film, producer Mark Johnson has commented that it will likely be shot in the forests of Europe in January 2007. (The tree people are important to the story of Prince Caspian.) Much speculation has surrounded the shooting location of the film, but it seems that countries such as Ireland may now be more in the ballpark than New Zealand, which was the main location in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

In further news, Andrew Adamson and Mark Johnson may both be slated to create The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 2009, less than a year after the release of Prince Caspian. The third Narnia book continues the story of Edmund, Lucy, their cousin Eustace, and Caspian, questing on the high seas in Narnia.

So it looks like New Zealand was sort of forgotten about :( Darn. I really liked NZ as Narnia in LWW.

If they choose Europe instead of New Zealand, they will have chosen it because it makes more sense than choosing NZ.

I trust Andrew Adamson, and therefore know that, whatever choice he makes, it would be for the best.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, N. Everyone will always remember New Zealand for the first Narnia movie and LOTR movies...and so it's been immortalized as a country. :D * not that it wasn't already popular and famous before those films*

Shattered_Fantasy

so is it official yet?

ABright5

Nothing is official.

All we know is that New Zealand and Ireland are both contenders.

08-20-2006, 04:34 PM
Yeah, but New Zealand needs the money...........

08-20-2006, 08:30 PM
I don't :(

I want it to be in NZ just a little bit so I can be an extra!

Extra? Actress? Same here! I don't live in NZ..but if you talk to anyone let me know!

Shattered_Fantasy
08-21-2006, 02:09 AM
cool, Im glad its not final yet. I dont mind though.. well I do .. but yea hmmm NZ has got lots of other movies but could still do with the money and tourists that come with it..

ABright5
08-21-2006, 04:38 AM
Yeah, but New Zealand needs the money...........

They may "need the money" but if it isn't the right scenery for the film, then the directors aren't going to choose it just because it's cheep.

And as has already been said, there are lots of other films being made in New Zealand, and Walden Media are considering making a soundstage in New Zealand as well.

I actually think they will film some in NZ too cause they are casting for dwarves in Ireland AND NZ!

Thats some important information!!!!

Thats some important information!!!!

They don't actually specify where they are casting for Dwarves.

The bit which says "Ireland and New Zealand" just means the places they are thinking of filming in.

LifeMaiden
08-23-2006, 05:44 AM
Hmm, now if I was like three or four feet tall...LOL. My Narnia calender is on the wall and it's open to the month of August where these four dwarves are like, making faces at the camera.

It doesn't really matter to me where they finalize the location as long as the movie PC is good...although I admit a prejudice towards New Zealand :D

-Daughter of Eve-
08-23-2006, 06:28 AM
I agree with IM ^ the location doesn't matter to me,I just want the movie to be good! They won't come over here anyway.. :p :(

We should do a petition!

why? I mean does it matter whether is Europe or NZ. ive visted Europe and there are plenty of forests all over the place. you have had lots of films flimed in NZ. it will be good wherever it is flimed.

tottyfruitty
11-01-2006, 03:14 PM
