You’re filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader in Australia at the moment, how’s that going?

Will Poulter: Its really good fun thank you, I’m really enjoying myself but I am missing home quite a bit, especially my family and friends. Although I will be sad to leave I will be really pleased to be home for Christmas.

Narnia: Dawn Treader stars shine for Dunwich kids

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Talk about a class trip to remember!  A lucky class from a school in Australia had a chance to visit the set of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where they met Will Poulter, Shane Rangi and had a great time seeing a Minotaur, Dwarf and a Faun all up close.

Dawn Treader Set Photos: Eustace and Minotaur…and more video

Friday, September 11th, 2009

Narnia Fans Spy Kerrie wrote in with more pictures from the set of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  This time, featuring some amazing shots of a Minotaur and Eustace (Will Poulter) on board the Dawn Treader.  If these photos are from a scene in the film, it looks like Eustace and the Minotaur could be friends, unless the Minotaur is carrying out punishment on him.  This is all complete speculation on my part, based only on three stills that you can see here.

More Pictures of The Spit, The Dawn Treader and the Actors

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

We’ve found still more pictures from the set of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  These include the Spit, which is the location they are shooting the Narrowhaven scenes from the movie, as well as some new pictures of the Dawn Treader, as it quickly comes together.  There are also some very clear shots of Will Poulter as Eustace, and Georgie Henley as Lucy.  We’ve not yet seen Skandar Keynes as Edmund in this film, nor Ben Barnes as Caspian.  I wonder if they’re being shielded from the public eye for good reason.  Perhaps there are physical changes that the production is keeping secret for as long as possible.  Or perhaps it’s just that they haven’t been needed on the sets we’ve seen.

More Pictures from Narrowhaven and the Dawn Treader

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

With filming happening on location at The Spit, we are able to bring you more pictures from the set of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  These feature Will Poulter as Eustace Clarence Scrubb, David Vallon as Gumpas and there’s even a glimpse of Ben Barnes in the role of Caspian.  We haven’t yet gotten a clear picture of him in costume, but it appears his hair is much much longer than in the first film, and he may have retained the facial hair that he was growing out during the the early months of the year.  I can’t wait to see more for myself!  This is getting very exciting.  It does look, however, like they’ve ramped up some of the Narrowhaven portion to make it into more of a struggle.  However, it may only be Eustace that acts up, with really fits into his character pretty well.  Especially if he is the only one that reacts with a struggle and the rest don’t.  Only time, and the motion picture, will tell! The Dawn Treader comes to Oz

Friday, August 7th, 2009

On Friday, Premier Anna Bligh welcomed director Michael Apted and two of the young stars of the film, Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie) and Will Poulter (Eustace Clarence Scrubb), to the Gold Coast of Australia.  The premier commented “This is set to be the largest budget film ever produced in Queensland.  It’s a big investment here in the film industry at a time when we need it most.  We expect to see the creation of 2,000 jobs because of this production.  In December 2010 the filming that’s happening here on the Gold Coast will be on the big screen right around the world – I can’t wait to see it on the big screen and to see the Gold Coast shine.”

NarniaFans Mailbag #31: Screenwriters on the Dawn Treader, Will Poulter, Special Effects and Casting

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

This week’s mailbag is where we break loose. We’re going to tackle some pretty heavy questions about The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and more!  It’s going to be fun.  By the way, I just saw Disneynature’s Earth and I highly recommend it.  The visuals are unlike anything I’ve seen before, and it was entertaining, funny and sad and everything in between.  I’m looking forward, now, to their next Disneynature release: Oceans.  That one is due out on Earth Day 2010.
