Ben Barnes: Bigga than Ben on DVD in UK, Dorian Gray Poster

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Ben Barnes, who is currently preparing to return to the role of Caspian for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, has been active in the film world since then.  While Bigga than Ben filmed prior to Prince Caspian, it released after, in the cinemas in the UK, and now it has been released onto DVD there as well.  It’s producer, Liz Holford, tells me that they are working on a deal to release the film in the United States, and I will be sure to update you when that deal occurs.  We’ve also got the first poster for Ben’s next film, Dorian Gray.  Take a look!

Prince Caspian Poster and T-Shirt Giveaway

Friday, May 9th, 2008

The Trades is giving away a Prince Caspian poster and t-shirt! They write: Everything you know is about to change forever. But one thing is for sure: somebody’s going to get this poster, and be able to wear this stylin’ t-shirt!

It’s only been a little while for the Pevensie children, but 1500 years have passed in Narnia! (And it only feels that long to us Narnia fans who’ve been awaiting the second film in the series!) To commemorate the event, we’re giving away this double-sided theatrical-sized movie poster, and a burgundy tee sporting the show’s logo (size L).

So get to entering your info — for Aslan!

May 11, 2008 is the final day of the contest. BE SURE TO READ ALL OF THE RULES at The Trades website.

New Prince Caspian Posters

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

There are three very cool posters that have just started floating around. The King Miraz one that we posted, without logos, has been released WITH logos. These posters are international posters, as evidenced by the logos found on them. The first features the Pevensie children. The second, Prince Caspian. The third is the one we saw yesterday, with King Miraz.

Prince Caspian: King Miraz Poster

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Here is a poster of King Miraz from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It’s an odd poster, in that it has no logo for the film. It leads me to believe that this is either an unfinished poster, or it is a part of a banner of some sort.

MUNI makes Narnia poster cool: Prince Cyclops

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

muni-narnia“Doctor Popular” wrote in about a hilarious advertisement faux-pas that he recently spotted. Consider this one for off-beat Narnia news. He writes:

Have you seen the advertising for Disney’s new Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian? It’s hard to miss, especially in our neighborhood. Movie banners are everywhere, including on the sides of MUNI buses.

I love the unfortunate awesome placement of one of the buses yellow reflectors over Prince Caspian’s face. Imagine this evil eye blinking on and off at you as the bus makes a turn. Can you say Scott Summers (Cyclops)? I would love to see how the Chronicles of Narnia would deal with “the mutant problem.”

New Prince Caspian Poster hits the Web

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Jonathan Fletcher has again pulled through to let us know that there is a new poster for Prince Caspian appearing online today.

It’s a very simple poster featuring Prince Caspian alone, with some sort of lens-flare. It kinda looks photoshopped, but I’m not so sure about that.

Behold! The Prince Caspian One-Sheet

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian One Sheet Poster
Everything You Know is About to Change Forever.

This poster features a far better look at Reepicheep than we’ve seen previously, and has a very darkly epic feel to it. In tone, this is a fantastic poster worthy of going up on any wall. One thing that it leaves me curious about is this: in the trailer, we know that there is a villain, but the poster shows none, save for the castle. Either way, a very beautifully colored poster with warm tones.
