NarniaFans Mailbag #32: More Dawn Treader Art, and old letters surface

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

For this week’s Mailbag, I looked in my inbox and realized a couple of things: first, there was only one e-mail for this week’s mailbag.  I could take this to mean that it’s not a good feature to bring back, but that would be ridiculous.  I enjoy the chance to answer e-mails and also to put my own voice into the site just a little bit.

On a related note, I share Andrew Adamson’s birthday.  Who knew?  Andrew, if you’re reading this, that must be the reason we have similar creative minds.

Switchfoot’s This Is Home Music Video and Lyrics

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Switchfoot’s song This Is Home now has a music video. We still hope to have a higher resolution version sometime this week, but here it is, for those that can’t wait:

Switchfoot – This is Home: Lyrics

I’ve got my memories
They’re always inside of me
But I can’t go back
Back to how it was
I believe it now
I’ve seen too much
But I can’t go back
Back to how it was
Created for a place I’ve never known

[Chorus]
This is Home
Now I’m finally where I belong
Where I belong
Yeah, this is home
I’ve been searching for a place of my own
Now I’ve found it,
Yeah this is home
Yeah, this is home

Belief over misery
I’ve seen the enemy
And I won’t go back
Back to how it was
And I’ve got my heart set on what happens next
I’ve got my eyes wide and it’s not over yet
We are miracles
And we’re not alone

[Chorus]

And now after all my searching
After all my questions
I’m gonna call it home
I’ve got a brand new mindset
I can finally see the sunset
I’m gonna call it home

[Chorus]

Now I know, Yeah this is home
I’ve come too far
No, I won’t go back
This is home

Merry Christmas!

Friday, December 24th, 2004

Merry Christmas from Narnia Fans! It’s this time of year that we celebrate the birth of our Lord and visit with family and friends. Take some time to sit back and reflect of what a year this has been. Right now, our armed forces are overseas fighting for the safety of the United States, away from family during these important holidays, and many are without members of their family to bring comfort and joy. So during this holiday season, remember that the most important thing that you can do, is make others feel accepted. Bring a little light of love into everyone you pass, and perhaps you’ll save a few lives, or give someone that much needed glimmer of hope. Have a warm and safe holiday season!

We wish all of you and yours a safe and wonderful Christmas. Visit with your family. When it comes down to it, they’re the ones that will stick by you through good times and bad. And yes, friends can be considered family. Celebrate the day that Christ has come into the world, to die for us!

“I Celebrate The Day”
Relient K
Deck the Halls, Bruise your Hand, or Let it Snow Baby, Let it Reindeer

And with this Christmas wish is missed
The point I could convey
If only I could find the words to say to let You know how much You’ve touched my life
Because here is where You’re finding me, in the exact same place as New Year’s eve
And from a lack of my persistency
We’re less than half as close as I want to be

And the first time
That You opened Your eyes did You realize
that You would be my Savior
And the first breath that left Your lips
Did You know that it would change this world forever

And so this Christmas I’ll compare the things I felt in prior years
To what this midnight made so clear
That You have come to meet me here

To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me
In the hope that what You did
That you were born so I might live
To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me

And I, I celebrate the day
That You were born to die
So I could one day pray for You to save my life
