The production company behind the newest Narnia movie filmed at Cleveland Point last year funded the most recent round of landscaping at the reserve, completed in December for holiday crowds.

Redland City Council removed fences erected during the filming of The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and replaced grass in the park, paid for by production company Dragons Prow.

Taste of home for Narnia: Dawn Treader crew

Big things are coming soon, but this is not part of that, just so you know.  You’ll know it when you see it!  Anyway, here’s the news.

PLAYING a cast of characters who routinely slip out of England and into the magical world of Narnia should make the British actors who recently finished filming at Cleveland Point accustomed to being away from home.

Parting Shots of Dawn Treader at Cleveland Point

Kerrie Burney’s [it's all about ME] blog has posted three final pictures of the Dawn Treader at Cleveland Point.  We believe the ship will be taken apart and reassembled at another location as filming continues at various spots in Australia.

Of special note is the first picture.  This was taken from some distance and shows damage to the Dawn Treader’s side, which we have seen close-up in previous spy shots.  From this view, the damage does not look that bad.  Could this have been caused by the Sea Serpent?

Spectators Allowed for Dawn Treader filming at Cleveland Point

In an event unlike anything I’ve ever heard of, spectators will be allowed to watch the filming of some scenes in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader when it films at Cleveland Point.  They’ve even built a grandstand for the occasion.  It’s unclear what viewers will be able to see, but rather than having people crowding around the fences during the filming, they’ve opted to make a safe place, as well as donate to charity with the event.

More Set Photos featuring The Dawn Treader

More set photos have surfaced, involving the Dawn Treader in separate pieces, as well as other views around Cleveland Point.  It looks like a very nice place to shoot.  There is a sign posted with a Dragons Prow logo on the top, which features a silhouetted head of a dragon and the title underneath in all caps.  You can see more details on the different portions of the boat, that will eventually become the iconic ship in the film.  I’m guessing that it comes apart to accommodate filming.
