As promised, here are the banners from the L!CENSING 2005 International convention! Anyone attend? Send us more, if you have it!
We’ve gotten ahold of a few more banners from the New York Licensing Show! They feature production art of The White Witch, her castle, Aslan, a Unicorn, a boy, possibly Edmund or Peter, a Narnian Army, and another Narnian that goes unnamed. This is a very exciting time.
Official word from the set: They begin filming on 28 June, with about 2/3 of the production based in Auckland. Then head to the South Island around mid-October to complete filming. The movie opens in the States in December, 2005, with many international territories also opening day-and-date.
The level of detail shown in these banners is promising. It’s looking more and more like the level of care taken with The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This is great news for Narnia fans all around the world. We’ve been waiting for a long time to see great films of the books we know and love, and this production is shaping up to be a dream come true.

Disney had new artwork on Banners to promote The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at the New York L!censing 2004 Show. Very cool banners featuring Aslan, what looks like an early design of a Narnian character, a Unicorn, and The Witch’s Castle.
Hopefully we’ll get better looks at these banners soon:
Aslan:

Narnian (Maugrim? Tumnus? Mr. Beaver? Someone else? too dark to tell, too vague to tell):

Unicorn, with a Fawn(?) in the background:

The Witch’s Castle:
