NarniaFans Mailbag #35: Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter vs. Narnia

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

We now present to you, this week’s mailbag.  I’m losing track of the days of the week these days.  It’s been one crazy week, that’s for sure!  Look out for Kansas City’s Union Station launch of The Narnia Exhibition, opening tomorrow!  A press release will be available shortly.  Just to give you the heads up on other stories that I’m working on: both involve Narnia art.  Look for those as well, this evening.  Let’s get to the letter answering!

NarniaFans Mailbag #33: Updates on Anna Popplewell, William Moseley, Andrew Adamson’s past, and C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

This week’s mailbag features a topic that is very interesting to me: that of the relationship of J.R.R. Tolkien and his writing to C.S. Lewis and his.  Other topics include what Anna Popplewell and William Moseley are up to next, and Andrew Adamson’s past in Papua New Guinea.  I’ll see if I have the time to reach back into the mailbag archives after the five letters that I received this week.  Be sure to look through the comments from last week’s mailbag for some fascinating follow-up information as well!  Let’s get started!

NarniaFans Mailbag #32: More Dawn Treader Art, and old letters surface

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

For this week’s Mailbag, I looked in my inbox and realized a couple of things: first, there was only one e-mail for this week’s mailbag.  I could take this to mean that it’s not a good feature to bring back, but that would be ridiculous.  I enjoy the chance to answer e-mails and also to put my own voice into the site just a little bit.

On a related note, I share Andrew Adamson’s birthday.  Who knew?  Andrew, if you’re reading this, that must be the reason we have similar creative minds.

NarniaFans Mailbag #31: Screenwriters on the Dawn Treader, Will Poulter, Special Effects and Casting

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

This week’s mailbag is where we break loose. We’re going to tackle some pretty heavy questions about The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and more!  It’s going to be fun.  By the way, I just saw Disneynature’s Earth and I highly recommend it.  The visuals are unlike anything I’ve seen before, and it was entertaining, funny and sad and everything in between.  I’m looking forward, now, to their next Disneynature release: Oceans.  That one is due out on Earth Day 2010.

NarniaFans Mailbag #30: Is Michael Apted qualified? Dawn Treader Promo Material? Caspian missing scenes?

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Now for the thirtieth edition of the NarniaFans Mailbag!  It’s good to be back, and I’m having a great time at this so far.  I just need more letters.  Then my esteemed team will be able to help answer questions (the earlier you ask them, the better).  It gives us more time to do research and give you the best answer possible on the Thursday release date!  This week’s questions cover the qualifications of Michael Apted, if there is any more Dawn Treader promotional material and scenes that a reader feels were missing from Prince Caspian.

NarniaFans Mailbag Returns

Monday, April 6th, 2009

It’s been nearly two years since we’ve done the NarniaFans Mailbag.  I’ve been considering bringing this feature back to the site for a long time now, and I think that it’s time.  I’ve been holding out for some sort of collaboration software (read: wordpress plugin) that could get answers from multiple editors here at NarniaFans.com, but I figure we can handle it without software like that.
